I've known Iain for a few years now and I lived with him over the past year. On Tuesday, he passed away suddently.
My feelings are too complicated to write down and share. I likely won't be writing much over the next few days.
For those of you who knew him or wish you knew him, share your stories, photos, poetry, or anything else at http://www.livejournal.com/community/iains_wake/. His mother is also collecting these items and will likely post them up on a memorial website to him in the very near future.
The service is on Sunday. We'd like to share those stories and photos at the service. Contact me if you want more information.
May you be in a better, more peaceful place, Iain.

on 2004-08-23 06:00 am (UTC)i just passed the 2 year anniversary of my friend dave's death. one day without a word to anyone, he picked up and took a bus to niagara falls. while his loved ones slept, he lept to his death in one of the wonders of the world.
i'm so sorry to hear of your loss gen! if there's anything i can do, please don't hesitate to ask :o( if you need an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on, i'm here for you.
