Boule loaf from last night's dough - a success! Two loaves made. One consumed with Mort and Jillybean and one given to a man of the mouse variety.

More opportunities to make and consume bread in the near future, possibly coming to a house near you.

I really wish I could make bread. That's just one of those things I can't make.

I would have said the same thing a wee while ago, but this recipe is ridiculously easy. I'd recommend at least borrowing the book from the library and trying out the basic recipe if you are interested in giving bread-making another go.

*shakes head* You are always talking about these complicated, delicious sounding dishes that have me drooling and absolutely jealous of your talent in the kitchen.

If I can make bread and have it turn out, I assure you that you likely can, too!

Since my month in France, I have wished to make brioche. If this is an adventure you would like to attempt together, let me know.

It is indeed something I'd like to try together. Can we book a date together in October?

My easy artisan bread book actually has some brioche recipes!

Sounds good. Perhaps the Thanksgiving weekend - I'll go out of town but not for all three days - or any other, except the 18/19th since I have a conference.

I'm excited. I really have been wanting this bread. The couple of bakeries I have tried to buy it at look at me like I'm crazy!
