Cooking Party Goodness
Jan. 23rd, 2005 10:36 pmThis weekend, the JET alumni had their annual cooking party where we get to learn to cook some sort of Japanese dish. This year we made Jagaimo to Wakame no Nitsuke (Potatoes and Seaweed), Niku Jaga (beef and potato stew) and ramen.
I'm not sure how much actual learning goes on as it kind of becomes like a factory ("You slice this, you stir this, and you, over there, can you find another cutting board?") Still, the food was wonderful, the company fantastic and I dare say that I'll be trying out at least two of these recipes on my housemates. Jillybean? Mort Q? How do you feel about seaweed?
